RSA recently completed the structural design for a private residence located in Burswood, Perth WA. The works involved partial demolition to an existing 2x1 residence, and an addition of proposed 216m2 structure (172m2 of living area over two stories and 44m2 garage), along with various site works including a below ground pool.

The design incorporates many exposed structural elements and connections. RSA had to design these connections to not only be structurally adequate, but also aesthetically pleasing. BIM was undertaken during the design to provide the client with a virtual concept, as well as using the modelling information to provide accurate material quantities for construction costing.
